Technical Overview

This research database contains Touch for Health (TFH) session records that have been submitted from all over the world through the eTouch for Health software web gateway. Personal information has been omitted and only the gender and age of the subject is stored in the databases. This website allows registered members the ability to perform research from anywhere in the world. Records can be found using a variety of categories and then compared and examined at using both global and detail-oriented evaluations.

These search results will allow comparison of sessions from:

- the same subject
- the same gender
- an age grouping
- type of session performed
- conditions or symptoms reported
- a combination of any of the above

The Search Screen for the Research Database is shown here:

Search Results

Your search results will be displayed on the screen, as shown below, in a comparitive method that uses color coding to indicate the status of the energy in the 14 meridians of the TFH model.

The records are color-coded according to the colors in the color key below:

Click on the ID of a Session to view the detail for the Session.

By clicking on the ID of a session, a summary page for the selected session will be displayed. From the summary screen, the details of each session can be accessed and extensively examined.

Detailed Information is Available for each session in the following categories:

- the results of the muscle tests;
- meridian results
- techniques used
- a general health profile of the subject
- the techniques used
- before & after values related to conditions or symptoms reported by the subject

*A commenting system so that researchers can exchange comments about a session will be in a future version.

Improvement Factor

The online database also shows an 'improvement factor' that is calculated by comparing the beginning and ending values that were reported for the session. For a 'condition-type' session, these values range from 10 for extreme pain or discomfort to a zero for no pain or discomfort. For a 'goal-type' session, these values range from 0 - 1000 for the 'attractor' numbers. The improvement factor presents the value in a percentage so that the improvements from the differing types of sessions can be compared.

eTouch for Health (eTouch) is a software system that automates the learning, practicing, teaching and researching of the holistic model developed by Dr. John Thie known as Touch for Health. The model is based upon the testing and balancing the subtle energy systems of the body using muscle testing for identifying the status of the energetic meridian. This is accomplished by determining the 'locking' capability of each muscle before and after a needed correction is made.

eTouch contains a full reference with extensive digital videos and illustrations for learning and a sophitiscated session creation and tracking system. An automated 'Session Wizard' can be used to guide the tester through a variety of sessions to meet the needs of the subject.

eTouch also contains an automated session submittal system that sends a selected session to this online database for members of the TFH Research membership.
