eTouch for Health Level 1 Syllabus |
||
|
|
||
| In the eTouch for Health Workshop exercises, you will begin to use and explore the different areas of the eTouch for Health software. Some of the exercises will take only minutes, while later exercises that focus on creating sessions will take longer. In the first exercises, you will begin to navigate eTouch and see different ways to move from one place to another and how to easily return to the Main Menu. Later, you will get in-depth experience in using eTouch in a testing and balancing session. The training exercises are listed below: |
||
| 1. Login Sample Patient and Sample Tester | ||
| You can use the Reference, Explore, Go-to-Fast Illustrations and all the learning areas of eTouch without logging in. To create new personal records and to create and review sessions, you must first log in. This is for the protection of privacy of the individual’s information that will be stored in the software and is meant to reflect accordance with new HIPAA laws being enacted in the U.S. medical field. In this exercise, you will learn how to login both the Sample Tester and Sample Patient, the records that are included when eTouch for Health ships. |
||
| 2. Examine the Sample Patients Summary record | ||
| In this exercise, you will examine the personal summary of the person that is currently logged in which, in this exercise, is the Sample Patient. The personal record contains: contact information; personal data; personal preferences; a list of all previous sessions; a general profile of the person; a list of all conditions and symptoms reported by the person; photographs of before and after conditions; and status of agreement acceptance. | ||
| 3. Examine the Sample Patients Detail Screens | ||
| In exercise 1 & 2, you learned how to login the Sample Patient, go to their personal summary record and return to the Main Menu. In this exercise, you will examine the patient’s record in more detail. In a later exercise, you will learn to create a personal record like the one you will be viewing in this exercise. | ||
| 4. Examine a previous sessions Summary of the Person | ||
| In this exercise, you will go to the Sample Patient’s summary record and then pick an old session to review its summary | ||
| 5. Examine an Existing Session in Detail | ||
| In the previous exercise, you went to an existing session from the personal record of a person. In this exercise, you will go to a session from the Main Menu and you will examine an existing session in much more detail. This exercise provides an overview of the eTouch session creation and tracking system. After this exercise, you will be ready to start creating new personal records and adding new sessions. | ||
| 6. Create a new Tester Record | ||
| In eTouch, a person can be a tester, a ‘patient’ or both. It is simple to designate a person to be a tester so that they appear in the popup menu for the testers at login time. A Tester also has a place to set preferences for the way they like to create sessions. Testers also can create customized agreements to be used with the people they test and balance (to be reviewed by your legal representative). In this exercise we will modify the agreement to show the experience and training for the Tester that we create. In a later exercise, you will login as the Admin person and modify the parts of the general agreement that will be used by everyone in your group. | ||
| 7. Create a new Patient Record | ||
| In this exercise, we will get into more detail as we create a new personal record, add a general profile and add conditions and symptoms reported by the patient. We will use this new personal record later for creating new sessions. | ||
| 8. Login as the Admin and Modify the General Areas of the Agreement | ||
| Now that we have a Tester and a Patient record, we are almost ready to create a new session. Before we do that, there is one task that should be completed before creating the session. Modifying the General Areas of the Agreement can only be done by the Admin person. Some of the privileges of the Admin are: viewing all sessions in the system; re-opening closed sessions; viewing passwords; and running system utilities (import personal records, update software, run backups, etc.). | ||
| 9. Login Your Tester and Patient and Create a New 14-muscle Condition Session | ||
| In this exercise, you begin to use the eTouch Session system. A central feature in this process is the System Creation Wizard that guides you through the steps of creating a variety of sessions. There are two basic types of sessions in eTouch: Goals and Conditions. Each are similar, but there are some features in the Conditions type session that are not in the Goal session, so we will look at Conditions first. It is possible to create a session in eTouch using 1-42 muscles. In this exercise, we will create a Condition-type session and will go through the complete process for a session. | ||
| 10. Create a New 14-muscle Goal Session | ||
| This exercise is similar to the previous exercise and may be skipped if time is limited. | ||
| 11. Create a ‘Select by Category‘ Session | ||
| A very flexible feature of the eTouch Wizard is its ability to create a session based on a number of categories. These include: adding individual muscles by clicking on them in an illustration; selecting by muscle function; selecting by symptom/condition; selecting by ‘common causes of pain/discomfort’; add muscles by clicking on neuro-lymphatic points; and/or add muscles by selecting a meridian. These categories can be used individually or in combination. | ||
